the go-ahead run without getting a hit to beat the Cleveland
Indians 3-2. The Indians lost their fourth in a row. They were
swept by American League Central-leading Detroit over the weekend.
Seattle stopped its five-game losing skid and won for only the
fourth time in its last 24 road games. A double header is set for
today.

WEST LINN, Ore. (AP) – Police have searched the Oregon home of
Memphis Grizzlies forward Zach Randolph to investigate the alleged
assault of a man selling marijuana. The alleged victim tells police
that Randolph was not involved in the beating, but he says at least
three people beat him using a pool cue following a dispute over the
price of drugs. Clackamas (KLAK’-uh-muhs) County Sheriff’s Sgt.
James Rhodes says the victim was treated for head and face injuries
and released from a hospital. Attempts to reach Randolph have been
unsuccessful.

has agreed to a contract with the Seattle Seahawks. Seattle
announced the signing on Monday. To clear a roster spot, Seattle
released running back Vai Taua. Vobora, from Eugene, was the final pick of the
2008 draft out of Idaho. He went on to play 34 games with St. Louis
including 16 starts. Vobora had 97 tackles – including 24 on
special teams – during his three seasons with St. Louis.
