Here is the latest Oregon news from The Associated Press
McLEAN, Va. (AP) – The family of an Oregon man who traveled to
England by boat because of his apparent placement on the no-fly
list says he has been released from custody in Britain. Michael
Migliore, a Muslim convert and dual citizen of the U.S. and Italy,
had been trying unsuccessfully for months to fly to Italy. Migliore
says he believes he was placed on the no-fly list because he
refused to cooperate with the FBI after an acquaintance was charged
last year in a plot to bomb a Christmas tree lighting ceremony in
Portland.

TUALATIN, Ore. (AP) – An Oregon State Police trooper says a
Honda Civic that he clocked at 107 mph on Interstate 5 sped up to
more than 120 mph after he tried to pull it over. The driver
finally stopped when he exited in the Tualatin area south of
Portland and got caught in heavy traffic. The trooper says he
arrested Dallas Bradley of Bend for investigation of DUI, reckless
driving and felony attempt to elude.

KLAMATH FALLS, Ore. (AP) – Troopers say the passenger in a car
stopped for traffic violations jumped back in the vehicle, sped
across a golf course and then fled on foot into the Klamath River
before police found him in some marsh grass. Later they learned
that Enrique Alcaraz Placencia of Bell, Calif., was being sought on
a warrant alleging multiple drug and weapons crimes in Eastern
Washington. Police say the Reames Golf and Country Club suffered
minor damage from car tracks across some fairways.

COVE, Ore. (AP) – A notable Oregon destination, the Minam River
Lodge in the Eagle Cap Wilderness, has changed hands. The Oregonian
reports that Barnes Ellis of Portland has bought the last operating
wilderness lodge in eastern Oregon. The lodge dates to about 1950.
It has a main building and dormitory, five cabins. It can
accommodate 35 guests. Access is by trail or small aircraft.
