The turnout wasn’t as large as usual Saturday for the Fall Oregon Beach Cleanup, but the weather was better than usual.
Trisha Wymore – “We had a great day, the weather was wonderful, hardly any wind and lots and lots of sunshine.”
Central Oregon Coast Beach Ranger Trisha Wymore with Oregon Parks said there were about 135 people registered in the Florence area and they picked up 1.2 tons of garbage, and just under 100 pounds of recyable matererial.
Trisha Wymore – “Numbers were down because of the Duck game in the valley.”
Wymore said there was also more competition for people picking up trash as there were many river cleanup
