SALEM, Ore. (AP) – Authorities say two people suspected in the killing of an Everett, Wash., woman last week are now wanted in the disappearance of an Oregon teenager. Police in Oregon and Washington identified the two suspects as 31-year-old David Joseph Pedersen and 24-year-old Holly Grigsby. They’re believed to have been in a car Sunday owned by 19-year-old Cody Myers, of Lafayette, who disappeared after leaving for a jazz festival.

MYRTLE CREEK, Ore. (AP) – A 26-year-old Oregon man accused of killing another man whose body was found on a southern Oregon logging road has told detectives the victim said he had terminal cancer and begged to be shot. The Roseburg News-Review reports that Charles Henry Teal was arraigned yesterday on a murder count in the death of 39-year-old Jeffrey Bension. A sheriff’s report says Teal told detectives he shot Bension in the head.

WARM SPRINGS, Ore. (AP) – A 23-year-old member of the Confederated Tribes of Warm Springs has pleaded guilty to second-degree murder in the fatal shooting of another man on the central Oregon reservation. The victim was holding his infant son when he was shot in the head. Ted L. Barney Jr. entered his plea Monday in the death of 24-year-old Delmer Davis. A plea agreement recommends an 18-year prison term at sentencing Dec. 12.

SALEM, Ore. (AP) – Oregon’s newest legislator has been sworn in. Chief Justice Paul De Muniz administered the oath of office yesterday to Alissa Keny-Guyer (GEYE’-ur), who will represent Portland’s House District 46. Keny-Guyer, a Democrat, was chosen by the Multnomah County Commission to replace former Democratic Rep. Ben Cannon, who quit last month to be the governor’s education policy adviser.
