PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) – A rowing crew yesterday morning found the
body of a 41-year-old Milwaukie man in the Willamette River. The
Multnomah County Medical Examiner’s Office says the body of Eugene
Ford Jr. was found a mile south of the Sellwood Bridge. Oregon
Rowing Unlimited’s Nancy Moore tells The Oregonian that the body
was spotted as the team rowed on the river just north of Milwaukie
Bay. The cause of death is unknown.

ALBANY, Ore. (AP) – Oregon State Police troopers are
investigating the death of a woman whose body was found Saturday
morning on a Lincoln County beach near Beverly Beach State Park. A
person walking on the beach found the body of an adult Asian female
about a hundred yards north of Spencer Creek Bridge. The Albany
Democrat-Herald reports no evidence has been found to indicate the
death is associated with a crime.

PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) – Portland Police have arrested a woman
after an early Sunday stabbing on a Portland train. The Oregonian
reports police officers found a man bleeding from multiple stab
wounds near the Rose Garden Arena just after midnight. Officers
learned a woman suspected of stabbing the man was in the next MAX
train and arrested her. The suspect, 22-year-old Jennifer Poston,
was taken into custody without incident.

PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) – A Multnomah County jury has found that a
Portland officer assaulted a man, but has declined to award any
damages. The Oregonian reports this is the second time Officer
Brian Hubbard has detained 31-year-old Alex Clay in confrontations
that led to lawsuits. And for the second time in two years, a jury
has found that Hubbard committed civil assault against the Portland
man. One of the jurors said the mixed verdict reflected the jury’s
opinion that there were holes in both stories.
