Here is the latest Oregon news from The Associated Press

PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) – Police have released the names of 27
Occupy Portland demonstrators arrested early yesterday after
refusing to leave Jamison Square. The Oregonian has published the
names on its website. The arrests came after an hours-long showdown
between police and protesters who refused to leave the Pearl
District Park after it closed at midnight. Twenty-five people were
arrested on charges of interfering with a police officer, criminal
trespassing and disorderly conduct. Two others were arrested on
charges of criminal trespassing and interfering with a police
officer. Three unidentified minors and three adult women were also
arrested.

PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) – A midair collision that killed a pilot
last week northwest of Aurora State Airport was the second fatal
crash in a little more than two years for aircraft owned by
Hillsboro Aviation. A Hillsboro flight instructor and a student
were in a Piper Seminole on Tuesday that collided with a Beechcraft
Bonanza piloted by 58-year-old Stephen Watson of Beaverton. Watson
died in the crash. The Oregonian reports a company flight
instructor, 34-year-old Douglas Doty, and 32-year-old student
Thomas Christopher Hagner of Hillsboro, died in 2009 when their
helicopter crashed south of Forest Grove. A preliminary report on
the latest crash is expected this week.

PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) – Police in Oregon say a man broke into a
home in Portland to watch television. The Oregonian reports that
32-year-old Jason Leon Bastrom faces charges of criminal trespass
after the homeowner called police. Police say Bastrom let himself
in through an unlocked front door early Sunday and sat down on the
couch to watch television. They say the homeowner alerted
authorities, and then sent over a family member who lived nearby.
Authorities say the family member confronted Bastrom and struck him
in the head, knocking him out.

PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) – Two Portland-area men are accused of
planning to split the proceeds after one of them falsely claimed
debit card fraud. The Oregonian reports Milwaukie resident Taylor
Brittain-McAuliffe told his credit union in September that he did
not authorize thousands of dollars in withdrawals, money transfers
and deposits to his account. But after the Advantis Credit Union
fraud investigator alerted Portland police, Brittain-McAuliffe was
arrested. He now faces 32 allegations of identity theft, theft and
felony computer crime.
