Taking a look at Coast Radio Sports…

It was an early departure from regional playoff action over the weekend for the Three Rivers Sandblasters.  Three Rivers took an early lead Friday afternoon over the Klamath Falls Falcons, but a late game surge, aided by a couple errors and a walk-off RBI triple bumped the Blasters 4-3.

Saturday morning they met the tournament host, the Liberty Falcons.  Errors and a lack of timely hitting hurt their effort once again as they fell 8-6 to end their season.  The Corvallis Marketmen, beat both Klamath Falls and Liberty to advance to the state playoffs.

The Eugene Emeralds and the Salem Keizer Volcanoes teamed up to score 42 runs combined in three games over the weekend… and the Volcanoes wound up taking two of three in the Keizer series.  S-K came out on top 14-6 Friday night; the Emeralds bounced back for the 11-6 win Saturday; but the Vols edged the Ems 3-2 yesterday.  Eugene has today off, they’ll open a six-day home stand tomorrow evening at PK Park.
