Here is the latest Oregon news from The Associated Press

SALEM, Ore. (AP) – A Woodburn priest accused of sexually abusing a 12-year-old boy has been indicted on eight counts and ordered held without bail. The Rev. Angel Armando Perez was arrested last week after the boy ran from the parish priest’s house during a sleepover. Authorities say the boy told them he awoke to find Perez fondling him and apparently taking a cell phone photo. Police say Perez told investigators he was drunk and didn’t remember what happened.

SISTERS, Ore. (AP) – A Deschutes County sheriff’s officer says a 69-year-old man hiking on a central Oregon trail collapsed and died despite efforts to revive and rescue him. Hikers told deputies yesterday morning that Robert Wayne Powell of Sisters had collapsed and was not breathing. They performed CPR until medics arrived about 90 minutes later but Powell did not survive.

BAKER CITY, Ore. (AP) – The lightning-sparked Sardine fire scorched rangeland southeast of Baker City, including a large swath of grazing land near Love Reservoir. The owner of the land tells the Baker City Herald that the fire will make things difficult for at least six families that rely on the burned area for late-season cattle grazing. Ranchers were able to save all their cattle and horses from the flames.

SEATTLE (AP) – A woman accused of joining her boyfriend in a Northwest crime spree that claimed four lives will be returned to Oregon to face federal racketeering charges. The Seattle Times reports that Holly Ann Grigsby appeared in federal court in Seattle and agreed to be transferred to Portland, where she faces an indictment accusing her and David Pedersen of promoting and funding a movement to “purify” and “preserve the white race” through murder.
