College Basketball

Oregon’s Arsalan Kazemi shrugged off a shaky start last night, scoring 11 of his 14 points in the overtime period, and the Ducks struggled to an 80 – 77 win over the Washington Huskies.  It was one of the quarterfinals in the Pac-12 Men’s Tournament.

Oregon, the third seed in the tournament, will face number ten seed Utah.  The Utes knocked off #2 California… also in overtime.

Tonight’s semi-final will tip off at 8:30.  Airtime on Coast Radio Sports is at eight.

If the Ducks win they will face either UCLA or Arizona tomorrow night at 7:30 for the tournament title.

Prep Sports

Also on the schedule today… It’s the season  opener in Coos Bay for Viking Softball.  They’ll face the Marshfield Pirates at five.

Before that… Viking Baseball will host the Pirates for seven innings at Jiggs Dodson Field  at four…. Pregame on Coast Radio Sports is at 3:45.

College Baseball

The Pac-12 baseball season gets underway on the road for both number three ranked Oregon State and 16th ranked Oregon.  The Beavers will be in Tucson against Arizona for the first of three today… The Ducks will take on the Trojans at USC.
