The losing streak extended to three for the Eugene Emeralds last night as they fell to Salem-Keizer 5-1 at PK Park.  The Volcanoes put up nine hits and played perfect defense; while the Emeralds continue to struggle with their hitting in timely situations.

The Ems did manage five hits, but left seven baserunners stranded, unable to capitalize when they had runners in scoring position.  The three game series wraps up tonight in Eugene.

American Legion Ball

The Three Rivers Sandblasters will try to get back on the diamond this afternoon at Jiggs Dodson Field in Florence when they host Post 20 for two games… the first pitch is set for 2:30 with airtime on Coast Radio Sports at 2:15.  The Sandblasters and DeMarini Dirtbags of Dallas had originally been scheduled to play Monday in Florence.
