Here is the latest Washington, Oregon and Alaska sports news from The Associated Press

ANAHEIM, Calif. (AP) – C.J. Wilson wasn’t threatened by the swarm of bees that took over the Angel Stadium field during two brief game delays. With little help from his teammates, the Los Angeles Angels’ durable left-hander couldn’t avoid a streak-snapping loss. Justin Smoak hit a tiebreaking two-run homer, Felix Hernandez had 10 strikeouts in a four-inning start and the Seattle Mariners beat the Angels 3-2 yesterday.

SEATTLE (AP) – Russell Wilson matched his career high with four touchdown passes – two each to Sidney Rice and Zach Miller – and the Seattle Seahawks dominated as expected in a 45-17 win over the Jacksonville Jaguars yesterday. Wilson connected with Miller twice in the first 16 minutes on TDs of 1 and 4 yards. He hit Rice for an 11-yard TD late in the first half and found him again on a 23-yard touchdown early in the third quarter.

TACOMA, Washington (AP) – Seimone Augustus hit a 15-foot jumper with 21 seconds left and the Minnesota Lynx held off the Seattle Storm for a 58-55 victory yesterday and a sweep of the best-of-three Western Conference semifinals. Maya Moore scored 22 points and Rebekkah Brunson had 15 points and 13 rebounds for Minnesota. Tina Thompson made a driving layup to put the Storm up 55-54 before Augustus scored.

ANAHEIM, Calif. (AP) – A swarm of bees invaded right field at Angel Stadium, delaying the Los Angeles Angels’ game against the Seattle Mariners. The Angels had two runners on and two outs in the third inning yesterday when the bees clustered near the wall in right-center field. Seattle right fielder Franklin Gutierrez and his teammates retreated to the infield and umpires delayed the game.

NEW YORK (AP) – There is little movement in The Associated Press college football poll this week. Alabama remains No. 1 and the first 14 teams in the rankings held their positions from last week. The Crimson Tide did lose some support from the media panel, dropping from 59 first-place votes last week to 56. No. 2 Oregon, which didn’t play, received the remaining four first-place votes.
