MEDFORD, Ore. (AP) – State regulators have filed a housing discrimination lawsuit on behalf of a gay couple, alleging a Medford senior living community denied the pair residency because of sexual orientation. The reason given for the rejection: one of the men did not meet the residency age requirement of 55 years old. But when the other partner, who did qualify, applied alone, he also was rejected. Hawthorne Garden Apartments officials did not immediately return a call for comment.

PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) – Portland Police say they’re investigating an attack and robbery at an illegal mobile medical marijuana cart. Authorities say the owners of the Smoke Buddy mobile trailer reported on that a man and woman attacked them as they were opening up for the day. The Oregon Health Authority says mobile marijuana sales are illegal. The Smoke Buddy isn’t registered with the state dispensary program.

LA GRANDE, Ore. (AP) – Authorities believe they have found the remains of a 27-year-old La Grande woman in a pickup truck that had crashed at the bottom of a steep ravine.
