PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) – Democratic presidential candidate Bernie Sanders is coming to Portland at the end of the week. The Vermont senator’s campaign says he will hold a rally in Portland tomorrow at the Moda Center, home of the Portland Trail Blazers. Sanders has campaigned in Washington state and Idaho during the past week. Oregon’s primary is May 17.

WARRENTON, Ore. (AP) – A Coast Guard helicopter crew has rescued a 16-year-old boy who fell up to 200 feet while hiking near Multnomah Falls. The Multnomah County Sheriff’s Office says the teen from Troutdale fell near the top of Angel’s Rest trailhead. Officials say the teen may have suffered injuries to his head and spine. His name was not released.

EUGENE, Ore. (AP) – The Lane County Sheriff’s Office confirms unidentified skeletal remains were found in early February in the Wolf Creek Road area. The Register-Guard reports Courtney Bundy was reported missing in July. Her sister Desiree Dixon said on social media that Bundy’s remains had been found. Family members of the Springfield mother of two are planning a funeral despite the lack of a positive identification of the remains from authorities. A statement from the sheriff’s office says an investigation is ongoing.

COOS BAY, Ore. (AP) – Rescuers are searching for the captain of a fishing vessel that overturned in the channel of Coos Bay. A U.S. Coast Guard spokeswoman tells The World newspaper of Coos Bay that the boat capsized while making a turn as it headed into port with a load of fish. A Coast Guard helicopter, two boats and a dive squad were trying to find the captain. Three other crew members escaped without injury.
