Beavers: No Come From Behind This Time; Ducks Hold Off Utes in Last Second Surge

Beavers: No Come From Behind This Time

The PAC 12 Tournament continued last night in Las Vegas.  The Oregon State Beavers were up first.  The Beavers struggled from the onset of the game and could not catch up to the surging USC Trojans.  USC kept a lead throughout the game after jumping out to a 13-2 lead.  Final score 61-48 Trojans.

Ducks Hold Off Utes in Last Second Surge

The Oregon Ducks met with the Utes of Utah in a late match last night.  Apparently Ducks are nocturnal.  The 8:45 start was not only a late start, but the Ducks had not had an opportunity to be on the court for a shoot around prior to about 30 minutes before the game.  The Ducks fell to a 54-43 deficit ten minutes into the second half but struggled their way back.  They were down by one when McKyle McIntosh was fouled after making his shot sending him to the line.  McIntosh converted the three point play and the ducks went up by two.  In the final seconds of the game Kenny Wooten repeated his previous night’s performance by blocking a shot that would have given the Utes the victory.  68-66 was the final score.  The Ducks move on to the semi-finals against USC tonight at 8:30.  Pregame on KCST is at 8.
