Ducks and Beavers Sweep Weekend Sports
The Oregon Ducks had an easy time on Saturday on the grid-iron as they hosted the Arizona Wildcats. Oregon jumped out to a 21-6 lead in the first half and a pair of field goals would be all that the Wildcats would score. Final score 34-6
The Oregon State Beavers held off a late run by the ASU SunDevils on Saturday. ASU late in the 4th quarter scored a touchdown and went for the lead with a 2-point conversion which was unsuccessful and then a late defensive stop by the Beavers kept ASU from reaching the end-zone and gave the Beavers their first win against a PAC 12 opponent 35-34
Sticking with the Beavers, in roundball on Saturday they knocked off Wyoming in Laramie 83-63. The Ducks start their season 4-0 with their win against UT Arlington at home. Next up for the Ducks is Houston on Friday and the Beavers will face UC Santa Barbara at home on Wednesday.
For the women, the Beavers defeated Missouri State last night in Corvallis 80-69 and the Ducks defeated Texas Southern on Saturday at home 99-63.
