Viking Wrestlers Fair Well

The 2019 Grants Pass Winter Kick-off was a great opportunity for the Viking Wrestlers to show their stuff.  Several Vikings were atop the podium including sophomore Hayden Muller who pinned 3 opponents on the way to the championship in the 135 pound division.  Freshman Ian Sissel took the 160 pound class and Mason Buss, also a freshman won in the 120 pound division.  Other notables were freshman Yoskar Delamora who finished third in the 106 class and junior Elijah LaCosse who finished fourth and Arrianna Brown finished in third place.

Viking Boys Rally

On Friday the Siuslaw Vikings  rallied to beat South Umpqua as Brody Terry hit the winning lay up as the Vikings record their second win of the season with a 70-67 score over the Lancers.  Terry has averaged 15 points per game and 3.5 assists over the past 2 games.  The Viking Girls fall to 0-8 as the Lancers defeated them 48-32.

Ducks Win After Slow Start

The Oregon Ducks are calling Saturday’s win against Texas Southern an Off Night as they struggled to get in front of the Tigers and trailed as late as 4:23 in the final half.  The Ducks Payton Pritchard dropped in a career high 29 for the ducks in the 84-78 win.

Ducks Over Wilcats of KSU

The Kansas State Wildcats were in Eugene on Saturday to face the Lady Ducks.  The Wildcats were no match for the streaking ducks as Sabrina Ionescu hit her 21st career triple double scoring 21 with 10 rebounds and 11 assists to lead all ducks in the 89-51 win.

OSU Loss to Texas A&M

The Oregon State Beavers suffered their second loss of the season as they fell to Texas A&M on Saturday.  64-49.
