Vikings Split Senior Night
Last night at Glen Butler Court the Siuslaw Vikings hosted Junction City in 4A League play. The girls were up first. It was senior night and senior Savannah Morris scored 14 points for the Vikings while senior Mia Collins added 10 points and 8 rebounds. The Lady Viks lost 58-41.
The Viking Boys got their revenge against Junction City, but it took overtime to get it. The Vikings struggled in the first half down 25-19 at the break but battled back to tie the game in regulation. Braydon Thornton had 14 points in the 43-37 overtime win.
Duck Baseball
Pre Season Baseball….the Ducks took on Grand Canyon college in Surprise Arizona yesterday and it was all knotted up at 3 in regulations. The two teams had a mighty pitching dual going on into the 12th inning when shortstop Channy Ortiz scored the winning run on a wild pitch from Duck’s Stedham Decker. Final 4-3 Grand Canyon.
Sailor Girls Playoff
The Sailor Girls are at home tonight in a Mountain West League Playoff game against Siletz Valley. Tip off is at 6 o’clock at Mapleton High School.
