Pritchard Named Player of the Year
Oregon Duck Payton Pritchard has been named as the PAC-12 player of the year. Pritchard was snubbed from the All-Conference Team a year ago. Pritchard is one of three players nationally to average at least 20 points per game and four rebounds and five assists.
Ionescu Up To Three-pete
On the ladies side Sabrina Ionescu has been named one of the 5 finalists for the Nancy Lieberman Award, an award that she has already garnered twice in her career at Oregon. Ionescu is the NCAA all-time leader with 26 career triple-doubles and the only player ever to reach 2000 career points with 2562 so far. 1000 rebounds and 1000 assists (1040 and 1091 respectively). only one other player has ever gotten the award 3 times.
HOF Announcement Tomorrow
Tomorrow the Athletic department as Siuslaw High School will reveal the 2020 list of recipients to the Hall of Fame. It is an early reveal, according to Athletic Director Chris Johnson, due to the nature of some of the recipients. Which he says is team heavy.
