Timeline Not Yet Ready; Duck Recruiting Class

Timeline Not Yet Ready

At home workouts and distance coaching is the current trend for Siuslaw athletes that hope to have a football season.  No date on when students can return to normal workouts with teammates.  That decision will come after discussions with Head Coach Sam Johnson and Siuslaw Athletic Director Chris Johnson as well as recommendations from the school board.  Strength and conditioning coach Bob Teter said the one thing that they don’t want is to return to practice too soon in case the season does not happen.  One of the scenarios being considered by OSAA is to possibly flip the fall and spring schedules so that sports that are more socially distance friendly can play with hopes that contact sports could resume in the spring.  It is merely a discussion at this point and not something etched in stone.

Duck Recruiting Class

The Oregon Ducks recruiting class has moved up in the rankings.  It was 21st in the nation, but the recent addition of a 4 start recruit from Henderson Nevada has jumped them to 14th.  Moliki Matavao is a 6 foot 6 inch 240 pound tight-end that was considering 5 other schools verbally committed to the Ducks yesterday.
