This morning at 10:35 the Lane County sheriff’s office released update evacuation notices and they have been downgraded. For the area of Hadsall Creek road it is not a level 2 evacuation notice which means be set to leave. The sweet Creek road evacuation level has been downgraded to a level 1, be ready status and the Bernhardt Creek and Duncan Island Road evacuation notices have been cancelled. Road conditions in the area are still considered hazardous. Sweet Creek road remains closed to traffic up to mile post 3 and Hadsall Creek Road is also closed.
Containment of the fire is at 45% and crews found no hotspots outside of the containment lines. Conditions are expected to remain favorable for continued suppression work on the fire.
The Lane Regional Air Protection Agency has also connected a purple air sensor in Mapleton and the air quality according to LRAPA’s air quality map is the good range.
