Native Florentine and a product of the Siuslaw School system, Kady Sneddon is running for position 6 on the Siuslaw School District Board of Directors. Sneddon says that a small part of her reason for running is to provide a diversity within the board. Suzanne Mann-Heintz is not seeking re-election creating the potential of an all male board. But her main objective is to get in and help in whatever way possible.
201: “I’m not coming in with any sort of an agenda to say this is not going right, this specific thing is wrong, I want to change this.”
Sneddon says as a parent and a local business woman she recognizes the importance of being involved.
202: “I really feel like representation is key and I think that there is a big hole on the board that I think I can fill.”
Registered Lane County voters have already received their ballots in the mail. To be counted ballots must be returned to the Lane County Elections office no later than 8pm Tuesday, May 18th.
