Sailors: New Coaches-New Format
The Mapleton Sailors will introduce new coaches as well as a new style of play as they begin a season of 6 man football. Tyler Krueger and Tucker Ford, Mapleton Alumni will head the program. Unfortunately due to COVID-19 protocol the Sailors will miss their first 2 games of the season.
Siuslaw Vikings
As it stands right now the Siuslaw Vikings first game will be on September 17th after Covid-19 protocol scuttled the first game against South Umpqua and Brookings-Harbor dropped the program for the entire year. The Vikings first game will be against Sisters on the road. Siuslaw did manage to score another home game in their schedule for week 5. They will play Cascade Christian at Hans Peterson Field on Friday, October 1st.
Ems Stay Close
Although the Ems have not been winning much over the series with Tri-city, in fact they lost 5 of 6. They have still managed to stay just a ½ game back of the league leading Aquasox. Last night the Ems ended the Dust Devils win streak by posting a 5-1 victory.
