Baseball Gets Going Friday
Weather has affected sporting schedules for another day. The National Weather service is calling the April rains as unusual and it has caused the postponement of baseball and softball for the Siuslaw Vikings as well as some other high schools. For 2 days the Vikings tried to schedule games against Marist Catholic, but field conditions and rain has not permitted the games to be played. Upcoming there is a Track and Field meet today. The Philomath Invitational begins at noon today. Tomorrow the varsity baseball and softball teams will host Junction City while the JV teams will compete in Junction City.
Mapleton Track
Mapleton’s Track and Field event for Friday has been cancelled.
Ducks and Beavers
The Oregon State Beavers will host Long Beach State for a three game series beginning this evening at 5:35. The games will not be broadcast locally. The Oregon Ducks will face Pac-12 opponents the Washington Huskies in Seattle. Game one begins at 7:05 this evening.
