Next – Super Regionals
The Oregon State Beavers have survived the Regionals with a win over the Commodores of Vanderbilt. It was a back and forth battle for 8 ½ innings. With the game all tied at 6 apiece third baseman Matthew Gretler gave the Beavers the lead in the 7th with a solo homer to take a 7-6 lead. Cooper Hjerpe pitched for the save for the beavers striking out 5 of the 6 Commodores he faced including a strike out to end the game.
The Beavers will now get to stay in Corvallis for the Super Regionals. They will face the Auburn Tigers for the first game this weekend with times to be announced. The Tigers defeated the UCLA Bruins in their final yesterday 11-4 to advance.
