Ems Grab Lead in Northwest League
The Eugene Emeralds are enjoying their current home stand against the Vancouver Canadians. Last night the Ems took a half game lead in the Northwest League standings by defeating the Canadians 10-3. It was a rough first inning for the Ems as Vancouver jumped out to a 3-0 lead, but the Ems Settled in and their bats began connecting as they rolled through the innings. 5 different Ems players hit home runs in the game. On defense the Ems played error free baseball and did not allow a run after the first inning. The series has 4 more games and continues this evening at 6:30 in Eugene at PK Park.
