Ems Miss Sweep
The Eugene Emeralds completed their series against the Vancouver Canadians last night. The Ems were hoping on a sweep of the Canadians, but could not close it out. The Ems took a 2 nothing lead into the top of the fifth, but a series of hits by Vancouver drove in three runs. They added a run in the 7th and one in the 8th for the 5-2 victory. The Eugene Emeralds hold a 2.5 game lead in the Northwest League.
Viking Support Concert
The Viking football team concert featuring country music artist Ray Scott will be held this Wednesday. Tickets for the show are $25 and go to support the Siuslaw Viking Football Team. Scott is considered a traditional type country artist that has appeared scores of times on the Grand Ole Opry.
