Viks Win; Ducks Falter; Beavers Dominate Broncos

Viks Win

The Siuslaw Viking came on Strong Friday night against the Newport cubs.  One of the highlights of the evening is when senior defensive back Hunter Peterson ran down a cub receiver coming from the opposite side of the field tackling him on the one yard line.

The stop prevented the Cubs from a touchdown and eventually turned the ball over to the Vikings.  The Vikings finishced the night with a 44-7 victory.

Ducks Falter

The Oregon Ducks were handed a loss on Saturday as the Georgia Bulldogs showed why they were the defending National Champions.  The Ducks could only manage a field goal in the second quarter and were outmanned the entirety of the game.  Georgia seemingly scored at will racking up 49 points in the win.  The Ducks face Eastern Washington this Saturday beginning at 4 pm from Autzen Stadium.

Beavers Dominate Broncos

The Oregon State Beavers were victorious on Saturday.  They faced Boise State and amassed a 24-0 lead in the first half.  The score rose to 27-0 before Boise got on the board in the third quarter.  The Broncos were able to mount some offense scoring 2 touchdowns in the second half, but the Beavers put a final nail on the lid with a touchdown and a field goal in the 4th. final 34-17.  The Beavers face Fresno State this Saturday.
