Yoskar DeLaMora scored two goals and Charles Nelson added a third in yesterday’s varsity soccer game against Taft.  Coach Londi Tomaro said this was the first game with the full varsity roster available.  Tomaro said the team played tight in the first half of the game but was a little disjointed in the second, but still kept Taft at bay blocking several attacks at their goal.  She says the team has a way to go yet, but is happy for the win.  Final 3-2.

Varsity girls soccer was at Central Linn last night.  They were defeated 9-1, no further details on the game were available.

Ems Win, Step Closer to League Title

The Eugene Emeralds put up 8 runs on 11 hits including a two run homer in the 6 run second inning last night against the Canadians.  The 8-5 win puts them another game ahead in the battle for the Northwest League. with 5 games remaining in the season.  The Ems need two more wins to secure the top spot.  Game two is this evening from Vancouver.
