Viking Volleyball

The Siuslaw Vikings volleyball team continue to roll with another win against La Pine last night at Glen Butler Court.  The Viks defeated the hawks in straight sets 25-18, 25-13 and 25-18.  Desi Tupua led the charge with 15 kills a 9 serve run and 5 aces in the Victory.  Coach Ashlee Cole says they continue to work on improving and look forward to their Thursday match against Creswell.

Viking Cross Country

Viking Cross Country was on the Road at Fugate Farms South of Bandon yesterday.  Sam Ulrich, Kyle Hughes and Jacob Blankenship finished 3rd, 4th and 5th respectively to take the Championship.  The girls were led by Corduroy Holbrook but lost a close one to Bandon 18-21

Viking Soccer

The Girls Soccer Team fought its first game with a tough loss on Monday at home.  The Vikings fell to Creswell 5-3.  Freshman Katelynn Masterman initiated the scoring for the Viks making her the first girl to score a varsity goal at Hans Petersen Field according to principal Mike Harklerode.

Ems Win Game 2

The Eugene Emeralds are one game away from being crowned the Northwest League Champions after defeating the Vancouver Canadians again last night at PK Park.  The Ems eeked out a one run win after a three run homer by Marco Luciano in the bottom of the 6th.  the Canadians would come close with a two run 7th
