College Hoops
The Oregon Ducks fought hard in the desert of Tempe Arizona to defeat the ASU Sun Devils on Saturday. The Ducks got a solid game from N’faly Dante who scored 18 for the Ducks in their 75-70 win.
The Oregon State Beavers were in Tucson where the wildcats outmanned the Beavers. Arizona jumped out early and never looked back taking the Beavers wire to wire in the 84 52 win.
The Beavers next opponent is UCLA on Thursday and the Ducks will face USC.
Viking Basketball
The Siuslaw Vikings fell to 2-7 on the season falling to La Pine on Friday night 62-55 in a hard fought battle. The Viking Girls remain winless in the league falling to La Pine 36-4.
Next up for the Vikings is Creswell at home tomorrow.
Mapleton Sailors
The Mapleton Sailors go to 6-6 on the season falling to powers 61-47 the Mapleton Girls did not play.
Viking Wrestling
Viking girls were on the mat on Friday and Saturday. Macali Lade took the top spot in the 110 weight defeating all 5 of her opponents and gaining 34 points for the Vikings. Danin Lacouture placed 4th in the 135 pound class and Jane Lacouture finished in third with 22 points for the team.
