Wrestling Championships
After a day of delay the State Wrestling Championships get underway today with initial contests for our 3A Vikings girls and boys beginning at 9am with championship rounds concluding this evening. Wrestling was delayed by the winter storm that passed through the region.
Duck/Beaver Rivalry
The Oregon Ducks and the Oregon State Beavers take the court tomorrow in Corvallis. With both teams having lackluster performances over the past several games the benefit of a win tomorrow will be for state’s bragging rights. The Ducks have lost three straight and the Beavers have dropped the last 2 games. The Beavers are 4-13 in conference play while the Ducks are above 500 at 9-8. NCAA bids are likely out for both teams. Gametime on KCST and KCFM will be at 6:30 Saturday.
College Baseball
The Oregon Ducks begin a three game stand against UC Santa Barbara in College baseball today and concluding with a double header tomorrow. The Ducks recent swept xavier to start preseason 4-0.
The Oregon State Beavers preseason record is 3-1 and will begin a three game series today against Coppin State. Coppin State hails from Hanover Maryland.
