Vikings Defeat Outlaws

Sisters High School is considered to be one of the top schools for baseball in the Mountain Valley conference, but that did not stop the Siuslaw Vikings from taking their shot at them.  The Outlaws of Sisters rolled into Florence yesterday with a 10-2 league record, but met with a determined Viking squad.  Andrew Jensen-Norman went wall to wall for the Vikings on the mound facing 25 batters and allowing only two hits and one run.  Sophomore Maximus Reynolds extended his hitting streak to 15.  Jensen-Norman also helped himself offensively with 2 hits and 2 RBI’s.  the Vikings win 3-1 and face the Outlaws on Friday for a double header in Sisters.

Softball

The Siuslaw Viking softball team laid down some runs against Sisters yesterday scoring 12, however sisters was able to outscore them with 16 in the Viking loss.  They also travel to Sisters but their game will be Thursday.

Viking Golf

The Viking girl’s golf team will be at the Special District 3 Championships held at Florence Golf Links today and tomorrow.

Mapleton Track and Field

Mapleton Track and Field will head to Waldport today for a meet. And then on Friday will be at Crow.
