Nike Nationals Schedule
The schedule is set for the Outdoor nationals in Track and Field this week. The 2K Steeplechase is set for Friday. Recent Siulsaw graduate Sam Ulrich and 800 meter state champion is set to run the event. Then on Saturday the 3A championship 4X400 relay team from Siuslaw will run. Both events will be considered Championship events. The Outdoor Nationals, sponsored by Nike, will be held at Heyward field.
Thompson Signs on With Phillies
Former Siuslaw Athlete and Oregon State pitching phenom Jake Thompson, who was recently let go by the Boston Red Sox organization flew to Philadelphia this week to meet with the Philadelphia Phillies staff. Thompson has been picked up by the Phillies and will begin working with the AA affiliate the Fighting Phils. Thompson will wear #29 for the Phils.
