Giving Tuesday
The Peace Harbor Medical Center Foundation is joining in the celebration of Giving Tuesday. November 28th is designated as a day of giving following the Thanksgiving holiday and several of the biggest shopping days. The Peace Harbor Medical Center Foundation is a non-profit organization that uses gifts to support the not for profit hospital here in Florence. The foundation has used gifts in the past to upgrade the emergency department as well as remodel the rehab and wellness center. It also provides finances to upgrade facilities equipment and areas of greatest need in the hospital. If you would like to support Peace Harbor on giving Tuesday you can contact Missy Thompson at 541-902-6589 or by visiting peacehealth.org/foundation/Peace-harbor. There is also a qr code attached to the Coast Radio Website.
OCHS Santa Paws
Furry family members got into the holiday spirit last week courtesy of the Oregon Coast Humane Society. It was a chance to dress your pet up for Christmas and have their picture taken with Santa Clause… er, Santa Paws.
“We had a great turnout for the first one. People should be getting their pictures this week.”
Elizabeth Thompson says that first photo op was at Mini Pet Mart. If you missed it, don’t despair. There are two more chances. The first is Saturday, December 2nd at Florence Shipping Solutions next to Habitat for Humanity.
“And then Wednesday, December 13th. And that one’s going to be at Mini Pet Mart again. And each date is from ten A to 2 PM.”
Thompson says a suggested $20 donation is requested, but no one will be turned away. They’ll also be gathering donations of pet food and supplies.
