Viking Soccer
The Viking boys used their heads in last night’s matchup against Crosshill Christian/Jefferson. Kale Jensen, Ray Brito-Xilot and Sailor Jensen all scored on headers making for 3 of the 7 goals they would put in the net. They held their opponents to just one goal coming late in the second half for another Siuslaw victory. The Vikings are now 5-1 on the season. Other scorers on the night were Charles Nelson, Asher Borgnino and Camdon Linton. Asher had two goals on the night. The team faces Elmira today.
Viking Volleyball
After a hot start on the night, taking the first two sets, the lady Vikings volleyball squad fell victim to their own weakness. Coach Perry said after winning 29-27 and 25-23, the energy dropped and unforced errors crept in to the game. Sutherlin took the final 3 sets 19-25, 13-25 and 5-15.
Cross Country
On Saturday senior harrier Clayton Wilson finished in the top spot for the Men’s 5,000 meter Gold Varsity run at the Mook Cross Country Invite at Alderbrook with a time of 15:28.60 the Viking team finished in 11th place.
