Football Program

Coach Sam Johnson says the culture at Siuslaw Football is not about caring about winning, it’s about loving the game of football and playing for the love of the game.

“When you grow up in this community you want to play football here and you don’t care about playing at Oregon, you don’t care about playing at Linfield you care about playing for us and I think that’s our biggest tradition is the kids want to strap up and walk out on Hans Peterson Field and play football in front of their home town.”

The team has been preparing for their league opener against South Umpqua which takes place this evening.  The game will be carried on KCST beginning at 6:45.  It can also be heard streaming on kcst.com or on the mobile ap.
