Volleyball Finale

The Siuslaw volleyball team wrapped up their season tonight with an impressive final match at Douglas. Despite falling short with scores of 25-20, 11-25, 25-16, 15-25, and 6-15, the team played some of their best volleyball, with long rallies and well-executed plays. Highlights included Stella Duman’s flawless 5 kills, 3 aces, and 12 assists, while Kimberly Martinez-Munoz racked up a double-double with 10 kills and 35 digs. Mia Snider, Abby Riggs, and Kylee Stinger also added strong performances, contributing crucial kills, blocks, and digs in an exciting season finale.

Viking Football

Siuslaw enters tonight’s football game against Brookings Harbor as the number one team in the state and the Vikings hope to remain undefeated, but no matter what coach Sam Johnson says the team will have at least two home games scheduled.

“the Highest 4 ranked, so if you are a top 4 team going into it, and you win your first game you will get a second game home, so that would be sweet, so if we stay kind of where we are at or even drop 3 spots we will potentially get 2 home playoff games.”

The team has tonight’s game away and will finish the regular season on the road at Coquille on November 1st.  the game will air on KCST beginning at 6:45, you can also catch the game online at KCST.com or on the mobile app at KCST Coast Radio.
