Viking Basketball
Last night’s Siuslaw Viking girls basketball game got a slow start with the teams seemingly evenly matched, however the Boomers found their rhythm later in the matchup and taking control of the game with a final 41-22. Senior Macy McNeill led the viking’s scoring with 9.
For the Viking Boys they improve to 8-4 on the season with an offensive show against the Boomers of Toledo scoring 82 points and holding the Boomers to 28. Chaz Edbloom and Justin Allen led scoring with 17, Ryan Klampe added 16 for the Vikings. The teams now travel to Harrisburg on Friday.
Mapleton Basketball
The Mapleton Sailors boys basketball team lost a close one last night to Eddyville Charter 44-41, the Mapleton girls easily got past their Eddyville opponents with a score 50 to 29 Lucie Burruss led all scorers with 19. She also had 7 rebounds, 4 steals and 3 assists in the win.
