Viking Basketball
The Viking boys maintained a double digit lead throughout the second half to improve to 2-1 in league play last night in south Umpqua. Chaz Edblom led the Vikings with 19 and was 6 for 6 from the free throw line. Gave DeLeon added 11 for the Vikings. And Justin Allen puts up 8. The Viking girls fall to 0-3 in League play, but put up their third best night in Scoring this season in the 36-27 loss.
Sailor Basketball
The lady Sailors secured a 47-32 home victory over Fall City, led by Lucie Burruss with 17 points, 9 rebounds, 4 steals, and 2 deflections. Burruss’ strong defense and balanced scoring helped maintain the lead. Senior Morgan Milbrett added a season-high 15 points and 10 rebounds, dominating in the paint and going 70% from the free-throw line. A solid team effort secured the win for the Sailors.
The Sailor boys also posted a win last night. They battled with the Siletz Valley Warriors with a 47-40 outcome.
The Oregon State beavers couldn’t repeat against Gonzaga last night falling 98-60 they face Washington State at home next Thursday.
The Oregon Ducks head to California to face UCLA tomorrow, game time on KCST is at 7pm.
