Emeralds
The Eugene Emeralds will spend the week in Spokane for a 6 game series against the Indians. Spokane sits in a tie for second place as the red hot emeralds hope to continue on an 8 game win streak that propelled them to the top of the League. The Ems are 12-2 in the second half of the season. Spokane just finished a series with Tri-city splitting the series 3-3. Following this series the teams will take a break for All-Star Week.
Flag Football
Flag football is returning to Florence this fall for students in grades 1 through 6. According to the Official Siuslaw Vikings Football Facebook page, registration is expected to open before the end of the school year. The program is also looking for volunteer coaches. While full schedules haven’t been released yet, the program will include four age divisions.
