Ems Trounced
The Eugene Emeralds suffered their biggest loss of the season Wednesday, falling to the Hillsboro Hops 17-1. Hillsboro jumped out to a 9-0 lead in the first four innings, chasing Ems starter Cesar Perdomo from the game. Eugene’s lone run came on a Charlie Szykowny solo homer in the fourth—his third straight game with a home run. Szykowny now leads the team with 18 and is riding a 10-game hitting streak. Reliever Esmerlin Vinicio provided two scoreless innings with a season-high five strikeouts. The series is tied 1-1 with four games left. Game three is Thursday night at PK Park.
OSU Brokers New NIL Deal
Oregon State Athletics has entered a multi-year partnership with Blueprint Sports to serve as its official Name, Image, and Likeness marketing agency. As part of the agreement, Blueprint Sports will take over operations of Dam Nation Collective, which has supported Beaver student-athletes since 2022. The move is designed to expand NIL opportunities through fan engagement, corporate partnerships, and special events. Former OSU athlete and Dam Nation founder Kyle Bjornstad will stay on as General Manager, working alongside Blueprint staff to oversee the program.
