Ems Bounce Back
The Eugene Emeralds bounced back in a big way, defeating the Hillsboro Hops 9-2. After suffering their worst loss of the season last night, the Ems wasted no time — Jonah Cox homered in the first, followed by a Parks Harber blast, giving Eugene an early 3-0 lead. Jack Payton later added a three-run shot as the Emeralds piled on nine runs in the first four innings. Starter Greg Farone earned the win, while the bullpen held Hillsboro hitless over the final three frames. With the victory, Eugene takes a 2-1 series lead and improves to 37-14 in the second half.
