Ducks Ready
The seventh-ranked Oregon Ducks kick off their 2025 season Saturday at Autzen Stadium against Montana State. The Ducks are coming off a 13-1 record in their first Big Ten season, where they won the conference title and reached the College Football Playoff as the No. 1 seed. Montana State, ranked second in the FCS coaches poll, finished 15-1 last year and played in the national championship game. Oregon opens the year with its eighth straight preseason top-25 ranking and will look to extend its nation-leading nonconference home winning streak to 35 games.
Beavers Set
Oregon State opens the 2025 season Saturday night at Reser Stadium against California. The Beavers have won three straight season openers and four consecutive home openers, and will look to build on a strong recent stretch at Reser, where they’ve won 20 of their last 25 games. Returning stars include running back Anthony Hankerson, who rushed for more than a thousand yards and 15 touchdowns last season, and receiver Trent Walker, who caught 81 passes for 901 yards. Cal leads the all-time series 40-37, but Oregon State holds a 17-13 edge in Corvallis and has won the last two home matchups.
