Ems Trounce Aquasox

The Eugene Emeralds took down the Everett AquaSox 10-4 last night, their second straight win over the Frogs. With the victory, Eugene improved to 40-16 in the second half and lowered their magic number to just two — meaning they could clinch the Northwest League second-half title as early as tomorrow. Greg Farone set the tone with six scoreless innings on the mound, while the Ems’ offense exploded with a seven-run eighth inning, capped off by Nate Furman’s grand slam. Eugene now sits on the brink of another playoff run.

Playoff Tickets Available

The Eugene Emeralds have put playoff tickets on sale for games one and two of the Northwest League Championship Series. The matchups are set for Tuesday, September 9th, and Wednesday, September 10th, at PK Park. The opponent will be the Everett AquaSox, who earned home field advantage after winning the league’s first-half title. Game three and, if needed, games four and five will be played in Everett beginning September 12th. Emeralds General Manager Matt Dompe says the club is excited to pack PK Park with fans as they chase their fifth championship ring since 2016. Tickets are available on the team’s website.
