This Friday begins the High School Football season. The Siuslaw Vikings will be headed to Marshfield to face their former league rivals. Ryan Denning will cover the action on KCST beginning at 6:45. Marshfield is coming off a 2 win season last year while the Vikings got a playoff spot.
This evening the Viking Girls will be on the court as Volleyball kicks off its season. They will face Pleasant Hill at 6pm on Glen Butler Court.
Cross Country is also slated for a Friday start with competition among a host of school in Bandon. Start time according to OSAA is to be determined.
Siuslaw and Mapleton will combine forces for boys soccer. Their first game will be today at 6pm in Sweet Home. Girls Soccer will also be up against Sweet Home today at home.
