Early Football Poll
OSAA yesterday released its Week 2 statewide 3A football coaches poll, and Siuslaw is ranked fifth. The Vikings, now 1-1 on the season, earned 55 points in the voting. Banks tops the poll, with Burns and Cascade Christian tied for second, followed by Vale in fourth. The weekly polls are posted each Wednesday and are for discussion only, not playoff rankings.
Lady Viking Soccer
Lady Viking soccer will be on the field today at home against Creswell. The lady Vikings are 1-2-1 so far this season and will be up against a strong offensive Bulldog squad that has produced 20 goals and only giving up the net twice in 4 games. Gametime at Siuslaw will be at 6:30.
Siuslaw Volleyball
Siuslaw Volleyball will try to improve to 5-2 this evening against Junction City. The two teams are fairly evenly matched with Junction City having a few more matches under their belt so far this season coming in to tonight’s matches 6-4. Game time is 6pm.
