Boys Soccer

The Siuslaw boys’ soccer team fell 6-2 to Creswell in a hard-fought match. Asher Borgnino scored early to tie the game at one, and Kale Jensen added a late goal in the second half. Goalie Yair Brito-Xilot finished with 13 saves. Despite injuries forcing lineup changes, the Vikings kept up strong ball control and pressure throughout. Siuslaw now turns to Thursday’s home game against East Linn Christian, 6:30 at Hans Petersen Field.

Girls Soccer Victory

The Siuslaw girls’ soccer team powered past Sisters with a 4-1 win on the road, battling both the Outlaws and sweltering 80 to 90-degree heat. Freshman Mia Goss scored twice, while fellow freshmen Pearl Jensen and Afton Linton each added a goal.

Volleyball

The Siuslaw Vikings volleyball team dropped their first league match in three sets, 21-25, 24-26, and 17-25. Stella Duman led the offense with 12 kills, while Mia Snider kept the pressure on with 34 swings. On defense, Danin Lacouture stood out with seven digs and two aces, and strong blocking came from Duman, Kylee Stinger, Charley Johnson, and Mihaela Stapleton.
