Athlete of the Week
The Sports Club and Coast Radio Sport Congratulate Viking Boys Soccer’s junior Terrance Masterman. Terrance allowed only two goals in last week’s two wins, coming up with several key saves during regular play. In the game against Elmira, he delivered a standout performance by blocking a penalty kick—a rare and difficult feat that helped secure the victory.
Honorable Mention
Honorable Mention goes to Siuslaw Viking sophomore football player Jericho Lake as this week’s athlete of the week. Jericho ran the offense for the Vikings League opener. He was 8 for 11 passing for 177 yards and 2TD’s and rushed for 22 yards and a touchdown.
Today’s Sports
Viking Volleyball will be at Douglas this evening for a 3A league match. Douglas is ranked 7th with a 9-3 record and 3-1 in league play.
Viking boy’s soccer will take on the combined team of Crosshill Christian/Jefferson at Jefferson High School. Play begins at 4:30. The girls will face Santiam Christian at home at 6:30
