Viking Victory
Siuslaw sophomore quarterback Jericho Lake threw six touchdown passes Friday, leading the Vikings to a 48-10 Homecoming win over Brookings-Harbor at Hans Petersen Field. The victory clinched a 3A state playoff berth for fifth-ranked Siuslaw, now 6-2 overall and 4-0 in district play. The Vikings host Coquille this Friday for Senior Night.
Ducks Swim to Win
Oregon fought through rain, wind, and adversity Saturday to beat Wisconsin 21–7 at Autzen Stadium. The Ducks relied on their run game after starting quarterback Dante Moore left with an injury, with backup Brock Thomas leading two touchdown drives. Freshman Jordon Davison rushed for 102 yards and two scores as Oregon improved to 7–1 overall and 4–1 in Big Ten play.
Boys Soccer
Siuslaw boys soccer will finish up the regular season tomorrow with a non-league matchup against Pacific/Bandon. The Vikings hope to use this as a tune up going into the playoffs. The Vikings have a 6-2 record in the league second to Creswell who is 8-0 in league play. Playoff’s begin November 1st.
