Duck Women Win
The Oregon women’s basketball team improved to 3-0 with an 84-66 win over Grand Canyon Tuesday night at Matthew Knight Arena. Mia Jacobs and Katie Fiso combined for 46 points as the Ducks jumped out to a 28-9 first-quarter lead and held on the rest of the way. Head coach Kelly Graves praised the team’s fast start but said they relaxed later in the game. Oregon played without senior guard Elisa Mevius, out for the season with a knee injury, but freshman Ari Long filled in with seven points, and Sofia Bell added three steals to help seal the win.
Men’s Basketball
Oregon Men’s basketball will be on the court and on the air this evening. KCST will broadcast its first of the season’s games beginning this evening at 6 pm. the ducks will host the Jackrabbits of South Dakota State from Matthew Knight Arena.
Likewise the Oregon State Beavers will air on KCFM beginning at 6pm from Gill Coliseum as they host North Texas.
